Former FCC Chairman Mike Powell seems to think his successor is destroying all of the progress he made, but since he is out of power all he can do is pipe up about it. Of course, he refrains from specifically saying the FCC is screwing up, but he has been speaking on how the government needs to encourage innovation within technology. Powell said the Telecom Act doesn't need a rewrite, it just needs a 15-page long IP statute that doesn't classify regulations based on services but rather on bits. Blog
