SPOTLIGHT: KDDI launches minute-by-minute child tracking

KDDI has unveiled a child tracking service that will use GPS to track a child's movement on a minute-by-minute basis. KDDI plans to launch the service this month along with two handsets that will support it. The phone will include a "danger" button to trigger the tracking feature--it will also begin tracking when the handset is off. Sanyo created the phones, which will retail for 10,000 yen, which is less than $100. Article
