SPOTLIGHT: Trend: VC interest in wireless is stronger than ever


Telecom companies attracted more venture capital funding in 2006 than they had in any of the five preceding years: $2.6 billion. Five years ago the sector attracted $2.4 billion in VC. In 2006, the third quarter saw some $914 million of VC invested in telecom companies, the largest since the fourth quarter of 2001.
