According to a new report from research firm Strategy Analytics, global smartphone sales will grow more than 8 percent next year. And iOS and Android will power the vast majority of those phones.
Indeed, the firm said that, in 2015, Google's Android and Apple's iOS combined will account for 96 percent of total smartphone sales. "However, other players, including Microsoft, Tizen, Firefox, Ubuntu will be among the fastest-growing operating systems and they will steadily chip away at Android's lead during the next five years," the firm said.
