Study: Memory card revenue to top $7B

Memory cards are expected to outrank headsets as the biggest revenue generating wireless accessory. According to ABI Research, removable memory cards will top $7 billion in revenue in 2007. Meanwhile, headsets, both wireless and wired, will generate about $5 billion.

ABI says that the increase in memory card sales is because memory cards are sold separately from handsets, while headsets are increasingly being sold with handsets.
