Sybase posts strong Q2 on wireless growth

Software developer Sybase posted stronger-than-expected second-quarter profit thanks in part to growth in the company's wireless products. The company reported 21 percent growth in its mobile software business with wireless accounting for $19.9 million in revenue during the quarter. Sybase posted a quarterly net profit of $15.9 million, up from $12.8 million a year ago.
