T-Mobile USA adds 950K net subs

T-Mobile USA added 951,000 net new subscribers during the fourth quarter, up from 901,000 during the fourth quarter of 2006. Net new postpaid subscribers, however, fell to 733,000 or 77 percent of total new customer additions. The fourth quarter of 2006 brought in 783,000 net new postpaid subs or 87 percent of total net new subscribers. T-Mobile USA added 3.6 million net new subscribers during 2007, up from the 3.4 million added in 2006.

T-Mobile USA's contract churn was 1.8 percent during the quarter, down from 2.1 percent the previous year and 2.0 percent during the third quarter of 2007. Blended churn for both postpaid and prepay customers dipped to 2.8 percent from 2.9 percent last year.

T-Mobile USA CEO and president Robert Dotson also noted that: "myFaves was a major contributor to this growth, with 5 million customers at year-end using the service to make unlimited calls to the people who matter most to them."
