T-Mobile USA taps Medio for search

T-Mobile USA has picked Medio Systems to provide mobile search for its carrier deck. The search box will be prominently displayed at the top of every t-zones page, and will include enhanced features like recommendations, improved local business listings and more specific T-MobileWeb results. Medio's search system aims to discern a user's intent with each search, so a search for a "Nickelback" ringtone would not only return results for every Nickelback ringtone, but calltones, wallpapers and news items related to Nickelback. The search will also return related content like ringtones from groups with a similar style to Nickelback, like Soundgarden or Hinder.
