TD-CDMA selected for public-safety network

IPWireless' TD-CDMA technology is going to be used in a city-wide broadband public-safety wireless network in New York. The city's Department of Information Technology & Telecommunications awarded IPWireless' technology partner, Northrop Grumman, a five-year $500 million contract. This effort will enhance the city's existing mobile wireless communications network with high-speed data and video capabilities as well as deploy several new, advanced wireless applications to support first responders and transportation personnel.
