Trend: U.S. subs say mobile content too pricey

No surprise here: A recent report from IDC found that teenagers and adults in the U.S. think mobile data services are too expensive. A full 72.5 percent of those surveyed had never used a data service other than text messaging. More telling, 27.5 percent had used such a service, which is a more optimistic metric than most of the others floating around. IDC cautions that SMS took off in Europe and Asia before it did in the U.S., and since mobile data has taken off in those regions it should do so here in the States as well. Some day.
