VZW launches Rev. A in Missouri, Kansas

Verizon Wireless announced further expansion of its 1xEV-DO Rev. A network today: Central Missouri and Kansas-based Verizon Wireless subscribers will now be able use BroadbandAccess and V CAST. The rollout is just part of the network update that the carrier has spent $35 billion on nationwide during the last seven years, about $5 billion each year. BroadbandAccess, a high speed mobile data service aimed at the mobile enterprise, costs $79.99 a month, while V CAST, a mobile entertainment service that includes music and video downloads, runs $3 a day or $15 a month.
