Warner Brothers told 3GSM attendees that the company plans to begin its own mobile Internet site to distribute TV, video and even films to cell phone users. Off-portal, or direct-to-consumer, content is poised to grow in the U.S., with Cingular Wireless, T-Mobile and Sprint Nextel embracing the concept as a way to grow revenues without having to do any of the heavy lifting.
