The winners of the WBI Awards 2007
Last night the third annual Wireless Broadband Innovation Awards were announced at a ceremony and dinner with 400 industry executives in London. For the past two years, I have had the honor to serve as one of the five judges for the WBI Awards, and it's no exaggeration that this year's pool of applicants certainly presented the most significant challenge. A whopping 170 qualified entries sought the recognition. And the winners are:
- Best WiFi Product or Service: Wireless Roaming Intermediary eXchange--Wireless Broadband Alliance
- Best Wireless Broadband Mobility Solution: Motorola's Hotzone Duo (Motorola Mesh Networks Product Group)
- Best WiMAX Product or Service: ComMAX--Comsys
- Best VoIP Product or Service: Vocera Communications System
- Individual Achievement in Wireless Broadband: Christian Petit, CEO Swisscom Hospitality Services
- Most Innovative Wireless Broadband Company: Alvarion
