Zombie Life: How one developer is building a business around freemium games

Zombies are a large and growing part of American pop culture--and the upcoming Halloween season likely will reinforce that trend. Capitalizing on that popularity, gaming developer The PlayForge is proving there's still a lot of life in the walking dead. The mobile gaming startup just released Zombie Life, the much-anticipated sequel to its tongue-in-cheek iOS blockbuster Zombie Farm. Indeed, Zombie Life topped the App Store's Free Apps countdown shortly after launch, and served up its one millionth session within its first 40 hours of release.
