France Telecom's Orange brand had boldly pledged to roll out LTE across all of its European markets by 2015. France Telecom CEO Stephane Richard said in a speech before the European Commission and Parliament that the deployment is being enabled by recent EU moves to make more spectrum available for LTE use. The LTE rollout is part of France Telecom's list of "Ten Commitments," which also sets goals for NFC devices, mobile wallet and Rich Communication Suite (RCS) services and more.
