Video: Will Verizon hand over its network to the machines?

In this video, Verizon Business Chief Technology Solutions Officer Debika Bhattacharya spoke with us at Mobile World Congress 2024 about how the telco is looking at artificial intelligence (AI) as a way to improve customer experience and more.

Bhattacharya said the company currently thinks about traditional AI (a.k.a. machine learning) in four steps: descriptive AI, diagnostic AI, predictive and then prescriptive — all with the goal of how the company is understanding its customers. Now the service provider is looking at how to combine generative AI with traditional AI to create content, not just to increase productivity but also to create new products and services.
