T-Mobile USA's UMTS footprint is slowly growing. According to the Dallas Business Journal, the company has launched UMTS in Dallas, spending about $191 million on the infrastructure and the network.
According to FierceWireless' tally, T-Mobile has launched UMTS in Dallas, Las Vegas, New York and Chicago--four of the anticipated 20 markets that the company has said it will launch by yearend. T-Mobile has multiple UMTS devices available and will soon offer its first HSDPA device.
