Motorola has begun courting French telecom manufacturer Sagem. The head of Motorola's mobile device unit told a French paper that the company has a "serious interest" in Sagem and praised Sagem's management team. Safran, Sagem's parent company, said it is pleased with the interest, but is still considering other options. Motorola, of course, recently acquired device maker Symbol for $3.9 billion. Article
