Opera 9.5 SDK for Devices released

Mobile browser developer Opera Software issued its Opera 9.5 SDK for Devices, touting improvements including a new beta visual effects layer promising fluid transitions, panning, zooming and interactivity. According to Opera, the new SDK also accelerates benchmarking, evaluation and time-to-market with the addition of a bundled Flash plug-in demo and set of standard Opera Widgets including calendar, news reader and calculator. In addition, Opera 9.5 SDK features improved webpage rendering performance over its predecessor, alongside enhanced management of widget states and download, extended APIs for password, certificate, cookie, session and plug-in management, and built-in site patching support. Opera adds that Opera 10 is already in the pipeline.
