Perlego adds support for Windows Mobile 6, Symbian

Mobile device life-cycle management solutions provider Perlego Systems announced full support for the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0, UIQ 3, and Symbian Series 60 v3 platforms, with support for devices including Motorola's MOTO Q, T-Mobile's Wing, the Palm Treo 750, Nokia Nseries and Eseries, and Sony Ericsson UIQ 3 (P990, M600, w950). Perlego promises simplified deployment of new devices and seamless upgrades of existing devices and ensures full data restoration and protection, with a single management system to enable businesses to provision, manage, protect and secure devices spanning a variety of operating systems and carriers.

Perlego's over-the-air device configuration capabilities include remote management, data wipe, content delivery and device backup--its hosted web console provides distributors, carriers, VARs and enterprise IT managers an end-to-end device management system to deploy applications and issue patches. "To maximize smartphone investments, our customers need to quickly adopt the latest devices and operating systems without exhausting IT resources," said Perlego CEO Frank Costa in a prepared statement.
