ABI: Nokia Siemens, Samsung post gains in Q3 RAN market share

Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) and Samsung posted gains in their share of the network infrastructure market in the third quarter, according to a new report from ABI Research. Nokia Siemens' share of the RAN market grew by 4.2 points percent, growing its market share to 22.4 per cent, just below Ericsson's 22.9 per cent. Samsung's RAN revenues grew 1.1 points to 5 per cent. Both companies attributed their share gains to success with LTE deployments, with NSN's LTE revenues growing significantly from the second quarter. Of note, Huawei's RAN revenues fell by 15.2 per cent sequentially, although the company retains its No. 1 spot in the RAN market share rankings at 24.3 per cent. According to ABI, Alcatel-Lucent held on to its No. 4 rank in RAN share with a value of 14.3 per cent, down only 0.8 points from last quarter. Article
