Worldwide Wi-Fi deployments reached a total of 4.2 million hotspots in 2013, and will continue to grow at a CAGR of 15.0% between 2013 and 2018 to exceed 10.5 million according to forecasts by ABI Research. Among the global Wi-Fi hotspots, 68.6 per cent of Wi-Fi is in Asia-Pacific, followed by 12.3 per cent in Latin America, 9.0 per cent in Europe, 8.7 per cent in North America, and 1.4 per cent in Middle East and Africa.
