Alcatel, Demitronic group secures 74.7m euro contract

A consortium composed of French telecom equipment group Alcatel and Spanish signaling company Demitronic has secured two contracts for the installation of security and signaling systems for a number of train lines in Madrid, a report from The Financial Times said.

According to the two companies, the contracts were worth 74.7 million euros, the report said.

The Ertms/Etcs system, worth 69.05 million euros, would be installed by the two companies on Madrid's suburban train lines, the report further said.
