Bahrain carrier Batelco is gearing up to start network modernization work on May 7, in a move it states will keep its infrastructure on-par with global standards.
The telco pledges “major enhancements” to its voice and ISDN services following the upgrade work, but notes subscribers may encounter disruption during the task, despite scheduling the job to take place overnight.
Separately, Batelco this morning announced Marco Regnier as its new group finance chief, replacing Kataryna Stapleton after five years in the role. Regnier joins from the same post in Tunisie Telecom, and is tasked with aiding a Batelco growth drive in MENA and Asian markets.
