Carphone cuts broadband target again

Carphone Warehouse cut its forecast of growth in broadband subscribers as it admitted a boost from Apple's iPhone to its retail business may not offset a difficult Christmas in prospect.

Charles Dunstone, Carphone Warehouse's chief executive told the Financial Times that fewer people moving house in the UK and increased sales of wireless attachments for laptops were slowing the broadband market. While higher churn in the market helped growth, profitability was "really coming through" thanks to lower support costs.
