China president denies hacking US

Chinese president Xi Jinping denies his government is orchestrating cyber attacks on the US, and called on the two countries to work together to fight online threats.

Xi told US president, Barack Obama, that China is also a target for cyber criminals and that the two nations must cooperate to fight the growing threat.

He was responding to claims by US authorities that China’s military is responsible for stealing sensitive data from US networks – attacks Obama says could harm trade between the countries, Bloomberg reports.
