US company Comptel is acquiring Axiom Systems, a UK-based software product company that focuses on the broadband fulfilment market. Comptel said the acquisition will put it in a strong position to capitalise on service providers' growing investments in IP-based services, like VoIP and IPTV.
Axiom specialises in IP fulfilment and is well established in Europe with some key customers in Asia-Pacific.
Comptel is acquiring Axiom for a cash consideration of €8.9 million (US$12.7 million). Comptel will pay extra if Axiom Group's audited net sales in 2008 are more than €13.5 million (US$21.4 million) in a mixture of cash and Comptel shares.
