Comptel net sales up in Q4

Comptel chalked up net sales of 24 million euros ($36.9 million) in the fourth quarter of 2007 - the highest in the company's history - up from the 2006 figure of 22.8 million euros ($35 million).

Operating profit came up to 7.5 million euros ($11.5 million) from 4.8 million euros ($7.4 million) in the same period the previous year.

In the October-December 2007 period, Comptel sold 15 new core licenses in Europe and in the Middle East and Africa.

Among those sold were several new products including the inventory solution, interconnect solution and data retention solution.

Prospects likewise remained favorable in the developing Asia-Pacific markets, with Comptel signing a significant license upgrade and making a long-term maintenance agreement with IBM India.
