ECtel registered $3.4 million in revenue in the first quarter, almost half the $6.5 million the company posted in the same period in 2008.
The company attributed the revenue plunge to longer product implementation cycles, which strong booking during the quarter were not able to offset. GAAP operating loss for the quarter was an improved $1.8 million, from $2 million the year before.
Non-GAAP operating loss, on the other hand, stood at $1.6 million, better than the $1.8 million registered the previous year. ECtel aims to achieve non-GAAP break-even within the second half.
