Ericsson eyeing North American SMB market in IP-PBX offering

Ericsson has rolled out its latest IP-PBX solutions targeted for small-to-medium-sized businesses in North America, the company said in a statement.

Ericsson said its new MD Evolution IP-PBX, a fully featured mobile communications platform designed for SMBs provided customers with a wide choice of user connectivity including IP, digital and analog to the desktop and DECT and mobile extension solutions.

Perhaps the most significant attraction of the MD Evolution, Ericsson said, was its ability to be a cost-effective VoIP solution that gave SMBs what they wanted most - the ability to control when and how they move to a total IP platform

.

Ericsson further said the MD Evolution was a commercially tested system with installations in many countries across Europe since its introduction there a few years ago.

It has integrated voice mail and unified messaging, and a number of other integrated features.
