Ericsson names new general counsel

Ericsson has promoted Nina Macpherson to the positions of senior vice president of general counsel and head of group function legal affairs. Macpherson, who resumed her new roles, is also appointed as a member of Ericsson’s executive leadership team.

She replaced Carl Olof Blomqvist, who will retire on March 31, 2011 after working for 11 years at Ericsson.

Prior to joining Ericsson, she has worked as an in-house lawyer and as a legal advisor to various shipping companies.
