Mobile Metrics has released version 2.0 of its Torrent 5100 GGSN Test System, which now includes various enhancements and new features.
According to the company, the Torrent 5100 is an advanced mobile traffic simulation system capable of exercising not only GGSNs, but other parts of a wireless data network as well, including IMS platforms and application servers.
New features of the 2.0 release include simulation of Blackberry "always-on" behavior, sophisticated virus injection capabilities, built-in comprehensive traffic test cases, and the ability to turn a PC into a mobile station.
