Filipino carrier Globe Telecom will be the first in the country to offer a choice of mobile number to new customers, after deploying a SIM management product from US-based Evolving Systems.
The Dynamic SIM Allocation product will help Globe improve customer experience by providing tailored services including the mobile number selection option, the UK firm claims. The carrier will also be able to collect more data about customers at the point of activation, enabling it to customize services.
Peter Bithos, head of Globe’s consumer business group, says the Evolving Systems product is a key part of a “company-wide systems and network transformation project, updating or replacing the network, billing and OSS environments.”
