Infoblox, which specialises in appliance-based platforms for secure, managed and core network services announced it its virtual software module is now available on the Cisco Application Extension Platform (AXP) for the Cisco Integrated Services Router (ISR).
Infoblox runs domain name resolution (DNS), IP address assignment (DHCP) and IP address management (IPAM) systems.
The combined solution is suited to distributed organisations, such as retail, healthcare and manufacturing verticals with multiple branch offices and a critical requirement for local survivability and automation of core network services at those sites, according to Infoblox.
