Jesper Ovesen has assumed the role of executive chairman at Nokia Siemens Networks, tasked with decreasing the joint venture’s reliance on its parents.
Ovesen, 54, cut his teeth in senior management roles at several European firms, with his most-recent position that of CFO at Danish telecoms group TDC during the company’s restructuring process and IPO.
Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, who has served as non-executive chairman, has stepped down from his position, NSN added.
