Mirs taps Comverse for new network launch

Israeli operator Mirs Communications has selected the Comverse ONE billing and active customer management solution, and Comverse VAS next-generation voice, text and multimedia solutions.
 
These Comverse solutions are expected to optimize and leverage the capabilities of Mirs’ new UMTS network.
 
Mirs has been finalizing preparations in recent months for the launch of its new cellphone network after winning the auction for the frequencies from the Ministry of Communications.

The deployment of the advanced Comverse ONE BSS solution to optimize and leverage the capabilities of the third-generation network (UMTS) is a key part of the transformation, making it the most advanced network in Israel.
