Cloud technology provider Neostratus is taking its first steps into the Middle East and Africa region, through a partnership with telco Orixcom.
The firm is combining Orixcom’s existing services and local knowledge with its cloud enablement technology to develop a new cloud service hub in the Middle East. The hub, Neostratus’ first outside its core European markets, will utilize Orixcom’s next generation network in Dubai, local data center and exchange services, to offer branded services including IaaS and SaaS.
Christian Hess, business development director at Neostratus, says now is the right time to expand into the Middle East. “Business dynamics and economic growth, combined with strong potential in the fast developing SME market drive the need for cloud services in the Gulf region.” The firm has also held discussions with other telcos in the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, Hess adds.
