Neotel claims WAN first

South African converged network operator Neotel is beefing up its business services with the launch of new WAN offering.

The firm claims to be the first in the country to offer usage based WAN services, offering business users another option for purchasing bandwidth. Neotel says its usage based service offers the same levels of service performance and management capabilities as its regular fixed bandwidth services, and will enable companies to cut costs.

“In the current economic climate, managing costs while having the flexibility to respond to changing business needs on demand has become increasingly critical to businesses,” says Abid Qadiri, Neotel’s chief of business solutions and excellence.

Qadiri adds that Neotel’s new WAN service offers businesses a flexible connectivity solution without the “high cost burden of a static network.”
