China has more internet users than the entire population of the US, rising to 338 million by the end of June. According to Xinhua China's online population, internet connections rose by 40 million in the first six months. The number of broadband internet connections increased by 10 million to 93.5 million.
 
Nokia has purchased privately-held mobile software company cellity for an undisclosed sum. Nokia intends to use the acquisition to strengthen its social networking offerings, the company said
