Nokia sues Chinese phone makers over design infringement

Nokia has filed a civil suit against Chinese manufacturers Shenzhen Telsda Mobile Communication Industry Developing and Song Xun Da Zhong Ke Electronic for allegedly copying the Nokia 7260 mobile phone model.

Nokia said in a statement that the suit also named distributors Beijing Tongwanbao Commerce & Trade and Beijing Xin Tongwanbao Commerce & Trade as co-defendants.

"This action is part of Nokia's continuous efforts to protect its brand value and proprietary designs against infringers. Nokia vigorously protects its intellectual property and is ready to take action when its rights are violated," Nokia, in the statement, said.
