Operators worldwide have not prepared their OSS for fixed mobile convergence (FMC), according to a recent Comptel survey.
While 41% have said they are "somewhat ready," 39% have stated that completely unprepared for FMC.
This is despite half the operators polled saying they plan to deploy an FMC strategy soon.
According to the survey, fixed-line providers lead mobile operators in terms of readiness. Only 29% of fixed-line providers say they are totally unprepared, while 71% of mobile operators have placed themselves in the same category.
