Profitability stems from real-time billing

Service providers who have invested in efficient and flexible billing systems are more likely to succeed in the market and chalk up significant profits.
According to a TM Forum report, the delivery of new individualized services will place more pressure on communications service providers’ billing systems.
This sparks the need for systems that provide near-real-time billing to their customers. Despite the global recession, subscribers continue to embrace converged and customized services.
Delivery of these complex, individualized services requires automated billing processes that operate in near-real-time, as well as billing systems that support converged services through unified billing data, TM Forum says.
