Ramboll acquires Indian telecom firm IMIsoft

Danish engineering, consulting and operating services group Ramboll Gruppen A/S has agreed to acquire the Indian engineering company IMIsoft, a Telecomworldwire report said.

IMIsoft, based in Hyderabad, specialises in the design of mobile towers, software development and mobile networks surveillance. The company has over 650 employees and offices in some 20 cities in India.

The acquisition will make Ramboll Group's telecom business, Ramboll Telecom, the world's largest group in the design of telecom constructions with a total of some 850 employees.

The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed, but Ramboll Group said that it is carrying out the deal with the Danish Industrial Fund for Developing Countries as co-investor.
