Report: Mobile entertainment market to grow 15% in 2011

The mobile entertainment market will continue to experience strong growth, according to a new study from Juniper Research, growing 15 per cent this year from $33.2 billion to nearly $38.4 billion. The market research firm believes this healthy increase in revenues indicates mobile entertainment products and services continue to find appeal--despite the ongoing squeeze on consumer spending.Of note, Juniper found that the move to a predominantly app store-led content delivery model had significantly boosted the income of smaller content developers. Examples quoted included Rovio with "Angry Birds" and Lima Sky with "Doodle Jump," games that have each registered more than 10 million paid downloads.  Release
