Report: Operators open their eyes to LTE at 1800MHz

The 1800MHz band had been overlooked by operators looking to launch LTE services, according to research firm Tolaga Research. However, the firm now believes this once marginalised band is becoming increasingly popular with operators and is fast being seen as a leading option for LTE deployments. Indeed, Everything Everyhwere in the UK wants to refarm 1800MHz airwaves for LTE. Tolaga claims that networks using either 1800MHz or 2500MHz together now account for 62 per cent of all commercial LTE deployments. Release
