Report: Smartphones to overtake PCs in LTE subscriptions by 2014

PCs and USB modems account for the majority of subscriptions to LTE subscriptions currently, but smartphones are expected to become the largest segment by 2014, according to a report from Pyramid Research. As operators worldwide have begun launching LTE networks, the availability of LTE devices has skyrocketed to over 200, more than a tenfold increase since the end of 2010. Typically LTE smartphones are on the Android platform with larger screens, front-facing cameras, and have broad video connectivity capabilities. Release
