Mobile operators around the world are starting to compete head-to-head with fixed solutions for residential broadband. Listening in on a recent conference call sponsored by the GSMA and Telefonica O2, a couple of themes were reinforced: One is that mobile broadband technology is maturing to a point that it is becoming a credible threat to residential (fixed) broadband.
