Subex back in black ink for Q4

OSS/BSS vendor Subex has swung back to profitability in its fourth quarter and FY10, due to an upsurge in orders.

Net profit for the quarter improved to 264.9 million rupees ($5.7 million), compared to a loss of 357.2 million rupees the year before. For the full year, profit grew to 1.1 billion rupees from a 1.72 billion FY09 loss.

“As the figures indicate, FY10 closed on a positive note. We are profitable once again owing to the improved operational efficiency in the past year,” CEO Subash Menon said.

But he warned that it could take another two years to return to the level of profitability Subex has enjoyed in the past.

Consolidated revenue reached 1.15 billion rupees for the quarter and 4.63 billion rupees for the full year.
