TCS wins sat systems contract

(Report via NewsEdge) TeleCommunication Systems (TCS) was recently granted a $2.3-million contract to provide satellite hardware to the Program Management Defense Communications and Army Transmission System (PM DCATS) team at Ft. Monmouth, N.J.

This is the fifth award TCS has received under the World-Wide Satellite Systems (WWSS) contract.  Revenues from this are expected to be realized during the second and third quarters.

PM DCATS provides centralized, intensive project management of communications transmission systems projects and other special programs worldwide. The programs provide the critical bandwidth required for the Global Information Grid and support the US Department of Defense transformation by developing and fielding communications systems capable of overcoming existing and projected bandwidth constraints.
