The TM Forum has asserted its push into the cable space with the creation of a Cable Interest Group (CIG) and the appointment of industry executive Kelly Anderson to head the Cable Sector for the organization.
The CIG is composed of multiple system operators (MSOs) from Europe and the US. These MSOs will jointly address needed support for data management, service delivery, revenue assurance, and the management of services such as advertising, multimedia applications, interactive services, and the introduction of personalized content.
According to the group, Anderson has a great understanding of cable-related issues, making her the perfect leader for the CIG and TM Forum's Cable initiative.
